Why side step electoral reform? Fighting the far right with more democracy is ok by me and who cares if people say this is about Labour gaming the system. It's not.

Labour wants to speak for "ordinary working people". It wants to be the party of patriotism & "national renewal". It badly needs a purpose & a moral mission.

Well here it is.

It is way past time to "speak for Britain" against billionaire-backed movements that want to terrorise ordinary Britons.

When Ted Heath sacked Enoch Powell he was acting in the face of a majority in favour. Harold Wilson backed him up and called the speech “evil”. Long past time for Keir and Kemi to do the same.

Isn't a National Commission kicking the can down the road? With PR in Scotland, NI, Wales and every other country in Europe apart from Belorussia, what more do we need to learn? Let Parliament choose a PR system and get on with it.
