From a European perspective, this vote and today's earlier admission by Kemi Badenoch that Brexit cause economic harm to the UK are signs that the UK debate on its relationship to the EU might be on the verge of some movement.

But it does not seem like the moment for real movement is there.

Agree. Punctuality not be great at the moment but it’s hard to beat the simplicity and clarity of the DB ICE livery.

This does not assuage my concerns about what benefits rail UK nationalisation will bring in practice. TBF, ‘cover trains with the Union Jack’ was not on my bingo card. Is that the best they can do?

Catches many people who are not in that group, as you say. I am fortunate in having dual British/Irish citizenship, having been born in Ireland to British parents. Grew up in UK, and fell more British than Irish, but Irish passport far more useful these days. Hopefully won’t have to choose in future
