This is the problem with electing an administration of too-online edgelords instead of people who actually want to govern. You can’t just “sh—post” your way to a deal with China

It isn't hard to see the difference between Tesla and other extreme PE ratio stocks. Tesla was already post-growth, even last year. And in 2025, vehicle numbers are down 11% in the US, 49% in China and 45% in Europe. Holding TSLA isn't much different to holding $TRUMP now.

If other countries put high tariffs on American goods, then we would impose high tariffs on their goods, reciprocally.

So much for American sovereignty. So much for deciding what’s in our own national interest.
Opinion | ‘Reciprocal’ Tariffs Make No Sense
How is it in America’s national interest to let other countries decide what duties we pay?

Canada and Mexico, combined, provide 9 times as much fuel to the US as the next highest country and 11 times as much raw materials as the next highest country. For both, the next highest source is Saudi Arabia, hardly a convenient source but one that now seems far more politically aligned.

This is absolutely not what Trump is telling the world it would be (that’s a good thing).
Full text of the Ukraine-US Minerals Deal.

1. Seems fine (an investment and reconstruction fund);

2. Has no resemblance to what the Trump administration has been saying about it;

3. Can't tell if Ukraine is good at diplomacy, or Trump bad at it.
