First, there is something I want to say to our dear band members. Elementary school members Gosu, Yerim, Jihan, Doyun, and high school members Wonu and Sihan, how have you all been? This is Teacher Min speaking. Thank you for all the effort you have put into your practice until now. You may feel a little nervous when you step onto the stage, but when I remember the days we spent playing our instruments together, my heart feels at ease and full of trust in you. I have not yet had the chance to meet Sunyoon and Junsok in person, but I have heard how sincerely and wholeheartedly you have been practicing. When I picture MIND BAND enjoying the performance on stage with all your heart, I cannot help but feel excited and happy as well. From now on, may you continue to broaden your wonderful dreams through music. Please know that your teacher will always be by your side, cheering you on with warmth and affection. For this performance, a band with whom I share a deep connection will be joining as a session band. Shinwon, the band master; Jinhun on drums; Yeonjun on bass; and Changhyun on keyboard — thank you from the bottom of my heart for kindly giving your precious time to be part of this concert. Warmest thanks are also extended to Dr. Cheon, Director Kang Hoon-chul, the hospital director, Director of External Cooperation Lee Sangil and all the teams who have offered such generous support, as well as everyone who devoted themselves to preparing for this performance. From the heart, congratulations on MIND BAND's founding concert. May today's performance be the beautiful beginning of a journey where MIND BAND and all of you share your hearts through music, filling every step ahead with gentle courage and inspiring warmth. To everyone who has walked together on this meaningful journey, thank you deeply. As the title indicates, the album finds him in an existential state, as he considers the path he’s strapped into as a music megastar and the life he would have led had he not found fame. BTS is known for its ‘army’ of dedicated fans, and RM’s album design by Seoul studio Kontaakt certainly caters to that. Housed in a folder illustrated by Martin Groch is a lyric book. It comes with a poster booklet of photographs by Rosie Marks (who also shot the digital cover) which seem to show an uncanny version of the life that could have been: marriage, a simple nine-to-five, time for family get-togethers. Other photos by Wing Shya and Takahiro Mizushima appear across the album package in standalone photo cards showing RM taking on these different personas, plus an extensive photo book of beautifully shot naturalistic images. It might be a superfan’s dream, but there is depth to the album visuals, which explore these dualities between what is and what could have been.

On "Groin," he goes retro and references '90s hip-hop, before slowing things down for an ethereal foray into "Heaven. Meanwhile, "LOST!" provides a sunny bop for a summer car ride punctuated by the rapper's punchy flow and infectious gang vocals in the background. By the time the album closer, "Come back to me," rolls around, you're ready to stay in this "wrong place" with RM forever - it's an album made up of well-tamed chaos and charming quirks that channels dizzying emotions into his coolest work yet.
