Also reminder any study that says “this thing absolutely causes that thing” is unscientific because there are too many factors that cant be eliminated/tested in a vacuum. So absolute causation can’t happen

Not all daydreaming is "maladaptive" daydreaming is not inherently bad. Using your imagination to tell yourself little stories is free fun and entertainment. Its not bad to tell yourself stories while you fall asleep. Dreaming and imagining are good things.
