I will say that I am enjoying seeing Xin Yunlai play a goofier character in LS. I previously saw him in The Glory where he was ok 🫤 but kind of stiff. He's not amazing in this so far, but he's definitely a lot better suited to this type of role. The rest of the cast is doing a pretty good job too.

someone else. It shifts the focus of that scene from her to the ML and the workplace villain character. There are a few other instances as well, that one is just significant because it's the scene that sets the tone for who the two leads are and their relationship.

trying to make her less morally grey, less responsible for the questionable things that she did in the original. An easy example: the change they made to the ladybug scene. Instead of having her kill the ladybug without a second thought, they have her shoo away a wasp that is later killed by

It also gave a lot of insight into the inner workings/feelings of a man who mostly kept everything buried deep inside. I'm curious if the new version will tie in whatever his job is in a similar way.

As for the writing for the FL, it seems like the writers are trying to soften her character,

I don't know why they decided to change the ML's profession from a structural engineer to working for a drug company (not exactly sure what his role is?). Him being a structural engineer had a lot of symbolic meaning that was repeatedly used throughout the entire original story.

But I'm finding myself to be a huge hypocrite when it comes to LS 😂.

So anyways, I think?? the new adaptation is probably a good drama, separate from the original. It's still too early to say if it's a good adaptation (8 episodes). My two main complaints so far have to do with the writing.

I've always been someone who gets kind of annoyed when people complain about adaptations not sticking to the original story. I typically think it's better, when making an adaptation, to create your own version no matter how different as long as the heart of the story/characters remains the same.

FINALE SPOILERS!!

Although, to be honest, I don't think there is any version of the soul swap thing that I wouldn't hate immensely.

Anyways, I really enjoyed most of their story! And I have to mention the actors; Wang Duo and Huang Jiajing were both so good in this drama.

FINALE SPOILERS!!

an ending like theirs, and want people to be satisfied with it, you have to spend the time building to that point. It also would've helped if they'd developed a relationship between Pian Pian and Tan'er. It would've made the soul swap feel slightly less annoying. +

which made Pian Pian feel like more of a plot device instead of a fully fleshed out character. The indebted to each other/devoted companionship they had was so interesting to watch but it ultimately ended up feeling a little cheap. If you are going to write +

FINALE SPOILERS!!

Ok so I'm still thinking about Bing Zhu/Pian Pain's ending and I think it could've worked as one of the most messed up tragic endings ever written if they'd had 40 episodes worth of character/relationship development. Both barely got any screen time in the last 9 episodes +

FINALE SPOILERS!! the unclouded soull

So um….yeah…😂

Not a fan of that ending for Pian Pian. The writing for this drama, other than Bing Zhu’s & Pian Pian’s characters (before the finale), was not my favorite to say the least.

I also enjoyed #OurGeneration.

I loved the characters, friendships, family dynamics, the coming-of-age story. And I appreciated how it emphasized the importance of having a good support system/community, especially for teens and young adults, who face so many challenges growing up.

Just realized that this scene is in episode 8 not 10 🤦‍♀️.

#YourGround baseball is also one of my favorite things so I'm really curious about this one.
#EscapeToYourHeart trailer looked fun.
#Immortalis Hou Minghao + FoF reunion!
#EveryoneIsFightingTheirOwnWorthlessness Park Hae-young is writing.

There are actually quite a lot more, but I'll keep it to 9!
