My favorite thing about the new My Mister adaptation (LS) is that they don't use that awful flashing video technique (I don't know what it's actually called) every time they show a flashback scene.

Honestly though, I'm way too biased towards the original since it's my favorite drama of all time.

Why does one of the most interesting romances of the past two years have to be the secondary couple in a drama that is otherwise so boring 😭? I am obsessed w/ him finding a bit of redemption in saving her, them challenging each other's beliefs, both grieving their siblings, the doomed romance vibes.

Adding Xu Zhenxuan to my list of actors I'm surprised haven't been given more leading roles. Him, Wang Duo, and Hu Yiyao have all really impressed me in the supporting character and short drama roles that I've seen them in.

Day 31: Favorite drama

I have two.

Watching #LearningToLove was so rewarding. It's such a thoughtful, well-made, and beautiful story. I loved both main characters, how their unexpected bond helped each other break free from societal expectations & inspired each other to embrace their true selves.

Day 30: Was 2025 a good drama year for you?

Mostly yes! I found some more of my all-time favorite dramas & characters, but I didn't watch as many new kdramas. Looking ahead to next year though, there are already a few kdramas that look way more interesting to me than any of the ones from this year.
Day 29: 2026 drama you're excited for

#QiaoChu Chen Duling + Historical = definitely checking out
#LoveForYou Zhang Jingyi & forbidden romance
#Overdo Fei Wo Si Cun adaptation!
#ComingToMyself the relationship looks deliciously complicated
#Soul My Mister director + sageuk romance = very intrigued

Day 28: An industry change you want to happen.

There definitely should be more canon queer characters and romances, especially in cdramas.

And the return of 50+ episodes, at least for historical and fantasy dramas, where the worldbuilding is really important.
Day 27: A drama you want more people to watch.

Kinda sound like a broken record mentioning #FortuneWriter again but I highly recommend it! It's very well-written and it's a short drama so it's easy to watch in one/two days.

Also would recommend #SniperButterfly.

Day 26: Disappointing drama.

Dragon King's Decree. I was looking forward to it because the lead actors from Fortune Writer reunite in it but yeah...knew pretty quickly it wasn't going to be one I enjoy.

Kill My Sins was good but it could've been way better if dramas could still be 50+ episodes.
Day 25: Favorite romance.

#TheBlossomingLove

I watched this so long ago (January), still it's remained my favorite romance drama all year. A well-written story about defying the gods/fate. And an OTP of opposites attract ❤️. Also has one of my favorite OSTs.

It's funny how Deng Wei and Chen Duling have become two of my fav actors when I originally wasn't interested in them at all after TTEOTM. But they've both played some of my fav characters since then (DW in LYF and CD in FoF & The Glory), that now I'll always at least check out their future works.
Day 24: Favorite costumes.

Hanyan's outfits in #TheGlory. It was very difficult to choose which one for the picture lol!

#BePassionatelyInLove, Xu Zhi's outfits.

Su Yishui's entire look in #LoveOfTheDivineTree. Especially any time he'd wear the dark blue green robes.

Day 23: Thoughtful drama

I ❤️ when a story challenges my initial feelings for a character. Going from hating a character to hoping for their happy ending. The Glory & Learning to Love both had some thoughtful things to say about redemption & choosing to change whether you’re rewarded for it or not.
Day 22: Deserves hype.

#LoveInTheClouds had too much comedy for me at first, but the premise of the story was intriguing enough to give it a 2nd chance. And there ended up being a lot to love about it! Some of my fav fantasy romance moments of the year, flawed characters, great chemistry & kisses!

Day 21: Surprise drama.

#ShadowLove & #LesBelles

Both aren't dramas I usually gravitate to, but I ended up really enjoying them. The highlight of SL was definitely the chemistry between Song Yi & Cheng Lei. And LB was the perfect drama to watch at a time when I needed something lighthearted.

Day 20: Drama that made you cry.

Reborn was a very challenging and stressful drama to watch because of the topics it discussed. The quality of acting and directing really added another level of emotion to everything as well.
Day 19: Drama that made you laugh.

Over the top comedy is so not my thing but I laughed so much while watching Fated to Love You. Jang Hyuk and Jang Na-ra work really well together.
Day 18: Most watched genre.

Shockingly it was modern romances! Often times moderns have too much of a romcom vibe for me (I don't think romcoms are bad I just prefer something more angsty). I guess the ones I enjoyed this year were more of a coming of age (Our Generation) or melodrama (TWTWB) type.

Day 17: Best actor.

Cheng Lei in #ShadowLove

He played at least 4 different characters in this drama and all very well. His signature cold and calculated general, a devoted friend and lover, a mysterious vampire(?) man lol, and finally a combination of them all.

Day 16: Best actress.

Liu Dan as Li Fanghao, #Reborn

The weight of the guilt and grief her character carried could be felt from the first moment she was on screen, it was quiet yet so loud. I was so impressed!

And Zhang Jingyi was great too!
