The concern on her face!!

Lee Ji-an/Zhou Yuan's personality can be difficult to pull off without looking like you're trying too hard. I wasn't fully convinced by this actress at first, but she's definitely grown on me as the story has progressed.

FINALE SPOILERS!!

Although, to be honest, I don't think there is any version of the soul swap thing that I wouldn't hate immensely.

Anyways, I really enjoyed most of their story! And I have to mention the actors; Wang Duo and Huang Jiajing were both so good in this drama.
Bing Zhu sits at a table. His sword (and the spirit of Tan'er) rests on the table in front of him. Pian Pian stands behind him, hugging him. Her hands are clasped together at his chest like she's trapping him in her embrace.

Why does one of the most interesting romances of the past two years have to be the secondary couple in a drama that is otherwise so boring 😭? I am obsessed w/ him finding a bit of redemption in saving her, them challenging each other's beliefs, both grieving their siblings, the doomed romance vibes.

I also enjoyed #OurGeneration.

I loved the characters, friendships, family dynamics, the coming-of-age story. And I appreciated how it emphasized the importance of having a good support system/community, especially for teens and young adults, who face so many challenges growing up.

Day 31: Favorite drama

I have two.

Watching #LearningToLove was so rewarding. It's such a thoughtful, well-made, and beautiful story. I loved both main characters, how their unexpected bond helped each other break free from societal expectations & inspired each other to embrace their true selves.

Day 27: A drama you want more people to watch.

Kinda sound like a broken record mentioning #FortuneWriter again but I highly recommend it! It's very well-written and it's a short drama so it's easy to watch in one/two days.

Also would recommend #SniperButterfly.

Day 22: Deserves hype.

#LoveInTheClouds had too much comedy for me at first, but the premise of the story was intriguing enough to give it a 2nd chance. And there ended up being a lot to love about it! Some of my fav fantasy romance moments of the year, flawed characters, great chemistry & kisses!

Day 21: Surprise drama.

#ShadowLove & #LesBelles

Both aren't dramas I usually gravitate to, but I ended up really enjoying them. The highlight of SL was definitely the chemistry between Song Yi & Cheng Lei. And LB was the perfect drama to watch at a time when I needed something lighthearted.

Day 17: Best actor.

Cheng Lei in #ShadowLove

He played at least 4 different characters in this drama and all very well. His signature cold and calculated general, a devoted friend and lover, a mysterious vampire(?) man lol, and finally a combination of them all.

Eps 16/17: The painting scene. The acting was so good! The emotions conveyed with their eyes alone. I kept having to rewind because I would get so distracted by their chemistry that I’d forget to read the subtitles lol!

Day 16: Best actress.

Liu Dan as Li Fanghao, #Reborn

The weight of the guilt and grief her character carried could be felt from the first moment she was on screen, it was quiet yet so loud. I was so impressed!

And Zhang Jingyi was great too!
