"I knew then and I know now, when it comes to justice, there is no easy way to get it. You can't sugarcoat it. You have to take a stand and say, 'This is not right.' And I did."

Rest in power, Ms. Claudette Colvin.

The fight for equality continues.

And two days ago regardless of the heat my light pink dahlias burst into bloom. I swear it’s the humidity that cussed it. They are such beautiful flowers.

Nearly burst into tears crossing the George Washington Bridge just now — the immense towers floating, floodlit, in the blackness of night and rain. God, is there any more extraordinary feat of construction than bridges?

Today is one of those days where I’m struck anew by how *bad* the internet has gotten. It’s almost unusable. Clouds, apps, advertising — nothing is where it should be and it’s nigh impossible sometimes to do basic tasks online.

I am pleased to announce that I have commandeered my neighbor's home. This home will be sold at its Market Price, and that money will be controlled by me, to ensure it is used to benefit my neighbor and me! Thank you for your attention to this matter!

Me, a week ago: I am sure 6-7 annoys parents, but children have always constructed a shared language outside of adult society. This is necessary! Good for them!
Me, after spending the holidays with a bunch of niblings between 5 and 14: I am calling on the United Nations to ban the numbers 6 and 7.
