I was initially as well! Here in the US, "flapjack" = "pancake". However, in the UK, "flapjack" = "granola bar", essentially.

Since the recipe is from The Guardian, I'm going with it. 😆

thank you!

wait, WHAT NOW?

I'm gonna need a recipe. Because those sound amazing.

(and OFC coconut is savory. like, curry!)

Yup; same thing.

Long-term loans only make sense if the asset is appreciating *AND* your money couldn't be put to better use elsewhere.

With loans running >7% right now, how do you ever get that back? Or even keep up?

lots of chatter that The Felon in Chief is working on making 15y car loans available.

I hope to god it's a hoax, but if not, still a HARD PASS.

many people contributed; Sir Jackie began campaigning after his crash at Spa in 1966 - leading to the introduction of dedicated medical personnel at each race.

by the time the 90's rolled around, it was already a different animal.

further reinforcement of how far removed he is from, well, everything.

when's the last time he had to worry about paying a bill? of any kind? or shop for food?

I bet he doesn't even have a credit card.

I think they should go swimming in the Amazon.

With piranhas.

you and I are basically of the same mind, I think.

I just recognize that using cruise ships may be a "least worst" solution to the problem they were trying to solve. and I'm here to say that these big ones are not 100% luxury suites.

maybe, but I don't know what they were trying to solve for. From the original article, they wanted to highlight the rainforest and indigenous peoples.

not everyone *cough* conservatives *cough* understands a problem until it touches them. I like that they're going to be hot + sweaty/suffer a bit.

I didn't say it shouldn't be reconsidered, I just said that temporary was more sustainable than overbuilding infrastructure.
