I am reading the retelling of The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Percival Everett and I’m enjoying it thoroughly
So I picked up the book American Fiction was based off (Erasure by Percival Everett). I’m only on like chapter 4 so far but it’s so much … sadder than the movie. I enjoyed the movie’s comedy so maybe it was for the best but I wonder what was lost in translation by downplaying that aspect of Monk
I’m actually disappointed with myself that it’s taken me so long to watch American Fiction

The train experiences I have had were top notch. My only request is expansion and faster. It’s more time than a flight (which I don’t mind bc quality⬆️⬆️) but we could get a more people using trains if they could get to (more) destinations in less time
My hot take is the airline lobbyist pushed to get this government reopened so that air traffic news dies down bc if the people migrate back to train fare for the holidays instead and realize it’s cheaper and less hassle they won’t get a certain part of the market ever again
if it’s not by car or train, I’m staying put. the government doesn’t care about keeping us safe, just keeping the dollars flowing.

IDK, I hardly think there is a human on earth that deserves someone named after them and even beyond that, I think everyone deserves their own name, not some ‘legacy’ and shadow for them to bear from birth
