Idk I found it so profoundly on the nose that I would use it if I were teaching a film class to illustrate visual storytelling and the grammar of cinema, but most people did not get any of that or understand it on a basic level so what do I know.

And yeah, there are cultural highs and lows and the flow of history of course affects art, but please think a little harder than "people like Marvel movies because life is impossibly difficult now."
