On this Fourth of July I’m tired. I’m sad. I’m angry. I’m disappointed. I’m scared. I’m having a hard time finding hope. I am anything but proud.
I hope that we will get through this and better on the other side. I hope my kids will have a better America. I have to at least fight for those things.

I’m tired. I’m trying to choose my battles & spend my energy where needed and not everywhere at once. When multiple family members & others “reach out” and say you’re consumed with politics and need to invest in your family and post more pics of kids and life. It’s just gets old. *screams into void*

I have faced fascism before, in this very country. I was one of 120,000 Japanese Americans summarily rounded up and expelled from our homes at gunpoint, all for the crime of looking like the people who bombed Pearl Harbor.
