This week, I built a data set for every U22 initiative player who's ever entered MLS. this data has 2 tabs:
1. the cumulative set for their entire time with the team that signed them
2. the "best season" set for their best season with the team that signed them docs.google.com/spreadsheets...

Further development in Ronny Deila to Atlanta.

Credit Jarrett Smith for the alert - Al Wahda FC sacked Ronny Deila this morning.

Deila set up to be next coach at Atlanta United.

To piggyback on Glenn’s suggestion, Al Wahda posted on X that they’ve terminated Deila this morning so there’s that.
Hearing that Lagerwey & Henderson have strong interest to bring in Ronny Deila,

The MLS Cup winner at New York City FC is currently at Al Wahda FC - just two defeats in 10 matches & fourth in the UAE top tier

Atlanta Utd finding a way to resign Jamal Thiare for 2025 is a pretty clear win imo.

If they could pull it off with this Cabral character, that’d be even bigger.

Benfica wants no less than 20 million Euro.

This is good news. I am curious to see how much the salary dropped for Thiare, who was on a base salary of $500k last year. Came up big in Game 3's win against Inter Miami with a first half brace.

Seattle may trade all of their international slots next year 🤣
Sources: Seattle Sounders in advanced talks to acquire winger Paul Arriola from FC Dallas.

Dallas would retain a portion of Arriola's cap hit.

Arriola, 29, has had a productive three years with FC Dallas. He has made 50 USMNT caps as well.

San Diego making a pretty big move before the Expansion Draft tonight with trading for Reyes. Pretty big number of GAM, but with the additional allocation money they get as a new club (and I am sure they'll get some back from a draft pick tonight) it makes a lot of sense to shore up the backline.
Sources: San Diego FC acquire center back Andres Reyes from the New York Red Bulls.

Package in the neighborhood of $750k GAM, sources say.

Reyes, 25, made 98 apps with RBNY. Scored the goal to send them to MLS Cup, but missed the final with an illness. www.givemesport.com/san-diego-fc...

This had to happen for Austin. Not enough production from the striker room with Zardes and Rubio, the duo combining for a goal every 438 minutes. That $1 million salary off the books will open up a lot.
Sources: Austin FC exercise contract buyout on forward Gyasi Zardes.

The move removes Zardes from the club's roster and salary cap, freeing up flexibility.

Zardes, 33, is the 10th all-time leading scorer in MLS history with 106 regular season goals.

As much as I'm excited for the Atlanta offseason to unfold, Cincinnati's may be one of the most interesting to track. Lots of GAM here, Lucho question marks, a Barreal resolution? Seeing Awaziem move was a little shocking, but I guess all of him, Robinson, Hadebe, and Miazga can't play together
BREAKING: The Colorado Rapids are finalizing a deal to acquire center backs Chidozie Awaziem and Ian Murphy from FC Cincinnati, per sources.

Deal worth $1m GAM + add-ons, I'm told.

Awaziem, 27, has 34 caps with Nigeria. Murphy, 24, made 105 apps w/ FCC.
