My husband puts up with a lot. Like just now, we had this conversation;
Him: "You ok?"
Me, deep breathing, focused on a weird twinge in my chest: "My chest feels funny, like it hurts and feels tight. But it's not like a heart attack or anything."
Husband: 😨
Me: "I'll go to the ER, stay here."

Just watched a skinny girl buy a XXL sweater coat that is actually stunning. It's of course the last one the store has.
If Christmas wishes were real, I'd wish for stores to stock more than 1 XXL, & for straight size folks to please leave the cute fat clothes for actual fat people.

I have never felt like my skills mattered more than I have in the nearly 4 years I've worked in the #nonprofit sector.
I have also never been as astounded when I realized how many hoops they make us jump through to receive funding.
The fact that I am currently writing a grant is beside the point.

🪐📚 I just nearly finished the #DaevabadTrilogy (too upset about Nahri & Dara to finish 100% yet) and I desperately need more Historical High Fantasy set in the Middle East.
I read Amina al-Sirafi at the start of 2024 and Shannon Chakraborty is quickly becoming a favourite.

Ironically, this was my introduction to Brandon Sanderson almost 20 years ago on the advice of an #Indigo employee as it was a new authors debut and I'd just finished Goodkinds Sword of Truth series.
Loved it.
