The trans community doesn't talk about how hard transitioning medically or even in general really is. It doesn't mean it isn't worth it but still—
It's a wild journey and there's challenges. In my experience, there's a lot of back and forth and adjusting of things. It takes a bit to find what works

Top surgery is coming up soon. Feeling very excited and ready but also quite nervous. Mostly, I'm nervous about reacting weirdly to medications. I'm prone to side effects so I'm hoping for the best.
On the bright side, when I had an appendectomy, everything went pretty smoothly. Here's to hoping!
