i rlly want a companion cube steam machine but am probs just gonna build a similarly-sized companion cube pc 'cause that way i get to choose the parts! but idk i will have to wait until the dram situation improves probablyyy

ya! i also wonder abt the steam machine, whether it's gonna be popular or not. the steam deck is popular but that's a different market than a desktop or big console so idk i guess we will see!!!

ya! for vr imo the big difference is that u are much more constrained on power & price and so that's why i think they should've left it out. idk how much it is gonna cost but i imagine having it adds at least $200 to the price which might be the difference between affordable and unaffordable to me

i want a vr headset but i can't justify spending hundreds of dollars for something i'm only gonna use a little, there aren't a lot of vr games so it's a novelty for most ppl imo! and so making it not cost too much is rlly important

ya but like they already make a console (steam deck) and they're making another (steam machine) so like why not leave that outside of the headset so it's lighter and has longer battery life and also! most importantly costs like half as much which is imo the most important thing
