Been making some progress on the mansion level. This first section takes place outside and mostly involve combat but the rest of the level takes you inside the mansion and features more stage hazard and platforming.

I particularly wanted to preserve the mechanic where the butlers became enraged when wine dropped on them from defeating one of their ally.

Okay, finally getting started on the mansion level. This is probably the one ive been looking forward to the most so i really wanted to do it right.

Ive also been adjusting the first secret boss, which was a tad too frustrating.
Funny enough, his moveset didn't change. I just added the ability to bounce on his head and land charged attacks, then he became way more manageable.

This one isn't new but it's a cool fight. This game overall serves as a nice opportunity to test out new mechanics since i dont have to provide as much art or logic to it.

I' ll add interludes to any levels that could benefit from a little banter between the protagonist and the boss.

Okay, been making some small improvements so far. Including a smaller, more convenient version of the hub (you can hit those switches to change the current stage) as well as the addition of an intro and a rioter catapult to level 1

Since the updates redesigned the astrologers to have makeshift outfits. I've kind of been getting the vibe that Aster used to be into larping since he just happen to be owning an actual robe.

Running a blank on blood&flames, so ill go work on my side project for a bit.
For a comedy game, its really not all that funny so maybe ill try adding some background gags as well as reworking the hub.

I have Dr stein from soul eater in mind, but even he looks more like a pretty guy in cosplay than an actual patchwork of human flesh made into an artificial adonis.

Here is my current progress on the ashen highland and some new ennemies.
As you can see, my workflow tend to consist in starting with a pre-existing mob and slowly edit them into the new one.

Just happens that being immortals makes you a persistent threat even if the individual confrontations are manageable.

The game doesn't expect you to fight everything you encounter, but it's there if you want to try and sometime avoiding the powerful foes is a part of the level.
