Don't be gaslit:

They are Nazis. This is a Nazi salute. They are not hiding it, or dog whistling, they are announcing it. They have come out as Nazis.

Show the people in your life these images all together. Make them understand this is not an accident, or a fluke.

It is happening here.

One wild aspect of elected office is way Republicans use LGBTQ politicians as a confessional booth.

Nearly every day in the Montana House, Republicans would apologize for their votes, tell me they wish the culture war would move on, etc.

But rarely would they actually change their vote.
My GOP colleagues, who privately tell me they don't hate LGBTQ+ people, should find the courage to reject the dehumanizing rhetoric. Your silence is deafening.

The other exploding area of dark money in politics is the crypto lobby.

They have dumped insane sums in elections in both parties (Dem primaries + GOP general elections).

It’s pretty bad
It's called cryptocurrency, but new FDIC data shows that most Americans don't use it as currency—they mainly hold on to it for price gains, not for transfers or purchases.

People have a weird notion that "non-profit" means "workers take a monastic vow of poverty." That's definitely not the case, especially if you want competent people working for you. The real question is whether the non-profit is effectively serving its purpose. Wikipedia definitely is.
If you think this is shocking you’re going to have a really bad time when you start looking at the 990s of other big non-profits. At least Wikipedia’s doing something you use!

Bitcoin is a parasite on the body public.
Everyone should know by now that Bitcoin mining is an energy hog, but apparently cooling mining rigs also slurps down vast quantities of water too: more than the total water use of New York City apparently! Gift link here www.wsj.com/science/envi...

How many deaths were caused by major pandemics, and how have researchers estimated their death tolls?

We are, obviously, deluded if we think eternal growth is possible. "Growth" is possible to a mental place, where the status quo is good enough.
