I’d recommend everyone regardless of medical risk bring a mask on your airplane journey, a disinfectant wipe to clean the seat you’re in and hand sanitizer.

It’s going to be on you alone to protect your health.

Warning signs are everywhere.

Costco responded to shareholders requesting that it withdraw from DEI policies. The response was direct and to the point: Costco says, "Our board has considered this proposal and believes that our commitment to an enterprise rooted in respect & inclusion is appropriate & necessary."

What a desk to sit at. A legendary Senator and veteran of WWII.
I learned Senate floor desks have drawers where every Senator who used that desk carves their name. I just pulled out my drawer. 1 name jumped out. INOUYE. WWII Medal of Honor. Senator for ~ 50 yrs. AAPI trailblazer. I cannot believe I get to sit at the desk of a hero of mine.

Fun Fact: Last year, when my Dad was dying in the hospital, Hunter Biden called me to express his and his family's support for me and mine in my Dad's final days.

I will always appreciate his kindness, and nobody can ever change my mind that President Biden was right to pardon him. 🙏♥️

Auschwitz I camp was surrounded by a double barbed wire fence installed on 3.3-meter-high concrete posts. Three-phase 400-volt current flew through the wires. Concrete slabs were placed under the fence to prevent the prisoners from digging tunnels.

I wrote this in Jan 2017when I had about 100 Twitter followers. Never dreamed that it would get so widely shared.

I regret the phrasing, because obviously historians do care about the motives. My meaning is, historians generally don’t (or ought not) consider their motives exonerative. Ah well.
This classic from @juliusgoat.bsky.social.

Neither should we care about the motives of people in the present day. They chose what they chose and are bound by that choice.

As are, sadly, we.
