Some of the better openworld videogames this year have followed this model. Avowed did the same.

The fact that Yotei is not really an open world game but rather an open "zone" game I think helps with the pacing alot.

I mean that's kinda folding@home. We've had this technology for years (or at least a version of that)

I think Gosling is a better fit for this (and the snarky writing of Andy Weir) than Matt Damon was for The Martian.

Overall I think the game is better than AC Shadows in almost every way. Both suffer pacing issues in a few places but Yotei's shorter length makes up for that.

I only followed a bit of campaign one and skipped all of campaign 3 but following the fourth campaign now and watching the animated show it's been nice returning to Critical Role right now.

I guess I just don't care about TGAs as anything other than a vehicle for game announcements.

This game feels like a relic of a by gone era, when PSN was filled with these quirky, pretentious "art" games. Even the music is so 2006. It's fantastic 😊
