I realized why AI bothers me so much. It’s just my opinion, but you’re supposed to go through the ritual of process, failing, and introspection that comes from creating art. It’s a physical, emotional, and spiritual experience. I learned the most about myself when I was hitting the wall with art.

"you would produce more and make more money"
Ridiculous. Pointless, even. People pay me because they want MY take on something, my style, my mind, my heart.
My job is about giving a face to someone's feelings and dreams, if I wanted to "get more money" I'd take a job that actually makes money.

A boomer asked me why I wasn't using IA "considering the amount of time I'd win" and they just wouldn't understand how the point of a hobby was to actually spend time on it.
People don't want to take the time to love things anymore (and I blame capitalism and hyper production/consumption for that)

I say this because I been here (drawing silly things on my DSi for a while) I had FUN drawing things, creating little stories, creating OCs, seeing the changes in style. I will never forget this experience of creativity, it makes me happy!

Please never stop, no matter your level, we always evolve.

I love art and creativity.

If you are an artist, remember that you have full control over your ideas, take the time to illustrate them and inspire others.

This is dedication and hard work.

Never forget this and in this bad period, remember we are all together and in solidarity. KEEP GOING!

man I'm feeling sentimental and this year was so hard for the artists so I say fuck new year's resolutions and I'll just wish for all of us to fall in love with drawing all over again.

If only practicing the art fundamentals (and drawing nothing else) to get good doesn't work for you, don't do it.

It doesn't work for most.

Do whatever makes drawing fun enough to do it consistently and without overthinking to the point of self-sabotage.

Study after.

Make art that you think is fuckin sick as hell. Make the shit you never thought you could that you always wanted to see. Beat your insecurity to death and fight to become your own favorite artist.
