l become a very loose cannon without painkillers... l rely on codeine to create a space to have any pleasure in life, to be able to garden, make art, endure travelling by van or in the power chair, stand long enough to cook or even be clearheaded enough to write recipes out for our homehelp/ PA

a day of rest: it is lovely to have so much sunshine, but so many weeks without any rain is stressing the garden and yesterday l dragged [literally, as in pulling a tub with handles, using my walking stick] a few litres of water out to keep my cabbage seedlings alive. Paying today :(
