Fandom naturally goes unfairly overboard with it, but I’m kinda glad that Hazbin doesn’t try to gloss over Charlie’s personal mistakes and failures. A lot of heroines I’ve seen seem to be portrayed as in the right no matter how questionable their decisions are.

I see this extraordinarily deep resentment from certain stans that the creator doesn't have the SAME emotional investment towards specific plot points and characters as they do, and that's something that no "good writing" can fix because the story's just fundamentally *different* from their wishes.
