Time to bathe!💦

Many birds have water-repellent plumage. Using their beaks, birds apply oil secreted from their glands.

Cormorant feathers don’t have this oily coating. This reduction in buoyancy allows them to dive underwater to catch prey.🐟

The National Center for Wildlife (NCW) in Saudi Arabia has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with BirdLife International Middle East to strengthen regional cooperation in protecting migratory birds and conserving biodiversity across the region.
