I've always liked the writing-as-pregnancy metaphor & you should 100% be a book doula. If anyone thinks their baby is too precious, point out:
*It will kick you from the inside
*There will be a non-zero amount of vomiting
*Blood & vernix? Edits will wipe that right off

TW: female infanticide,
violence.

અમુક વાતો હૃદયની બા’ર હું લાવી નથી શકતો;

કોઈની રાવ કે ફરિયાદ સંભળાવી નથી શકતો;

Just look at this lovely cover illustration by Amy Hogeboom from The Golden Book Magazine (Jan 1927). Hogeboom also authored several "how to draw" animal books.

I'll share some of magazines' contents (including a Lord Dunsany story!) this month as well. #booksky

A Ghost Story At Christmas
By M.R. Dickbit

A dusty old academic of my acquaintance once went to a remote place where he intended to indulge his passion for brass rubbings, on which topic I shall expound for 17 pages, and he returned to his lodgings where a hat fell off a wardrobe aaaaaargh the end.

"The Town-Ho's Story" was the world's intro to Ishmael, Captain Ahab & Moby Dick.

Published weeks before the novel "The Whale" was sighted in the UK -- and months before the book (now titled "Moby Dick") broke the surface in the US -- this is Ishmael's short tale of another doomed whaling vessel.📚💙

Honestly, I'm about 2-3 more jokes away from making a stamped sterling silver moustache to be worn on a chain, so that one without an #EditingMoustsche can have an editing moustache, whenever they so desire.

The book (War with the Mutant Spider Ants, Edward Packard) is asking if I should try to trap the insect, watch it a while, or return to Aunt Lily's to tell her about it. What should I do? (I skipped past the boring bits at the start.) #booksky #chooseyourownadventure
