Screaming into my official ‘mid 50s’ stage today and as a special birthday treat I got myself a PSA test alongside a long queue of other terrified looking men of Padstow.

Get yourself booked in, lads.

Tonight saw the impromptu soft launch of FizzyBumBum5 at BinTwo. Road tested on our good friend, Katie and her lovely friends at her birthday bash.

Warm words of feedback from 13 Mums let loose for a night suggest that it has passed the essential ‘not shit’ test 😃

FBB#5 - on general release soon.

Took a bold step today.

There’s a guy in my gym who I’ve been happily chatting to three times a week for two years.

Today told each other our names.

No matter how many times I visit the North Cornwall coast I cannot stop taking pictures of the same area, different times of day and year.

In January you’ve got to find the sunshine where you can.

Coming soon.

By request of @davidroundmw.bsky.social (so blame him)

The update that literally nobody asked for!
Explosive news from our very own craft winery where I’m finally pulling his finger out to get FizzyBumBum #5 moving…

My Mary is well-known for getting names muddled. We’ve just finished the last episode of Black Doves. She took a sip of her tea and said: Susan Hampshire’s a great actor isn’t she.’ 🤣

Giving it some welly with the help of Chef Callum Franklin’s excellent Beef Wellington recipe in his pastry bible - The Pie Room.

Yes, I know it’s quite rare. As it should be…

Merry Christmas to you all from us here at BinTwo.

We are at the ‘pre-lunch pint’ stage of the Christmas plan and remain ever grateful to the legends at St Kew Inn for opening up on Christmas Day! 🙏🥂🎄

Just been to the ‘Night Garden’ Christmas lights at the Lost Gardens of Heligan. Trooped around in foul weather and ate burgers in the rain while ‘Last Christmas’ was played through the garden speakers. All the bedraggled attendees sang along in good spirits.

I’ve never felt more British.

Great stuff from Peter showing the love for wine people.

I’m just sat here trying to figure out if I qualify for the title… 🤔

Find someone in your life who looks at you like Mary looks at the refuse collection team while she’s trying to charm them into taking away excess pre-Christmas rubbish.

This. This is absolutely the truth. I ask customers every day home much they think duty is (never mind what it's going to). Most common answer is £0.10 to £0.50 per bottle
I tell them £2.67 and that it is a tax that itself attracts vat, it blows their mind. 👇
‘I am not convinced most consumers are actually aware just how much of the price of their wine is going to the Treasury.’

Agree. Most consumers think that £8 buys you a half decent bottle in a supermarket, esp if discounted.

Yet in an £8 bottle there’s 50% UK tax in it.

(£2.67 UK duty, £1.33 VAT)
"I don’t think it's a help to promote lesser products just to mitigate duty rises & it may drive some consumers away." Jeroboams ceo Mike Tipping on dangers of new duty regime & how it's going to tackle it; areas for growth in 2025; & looks back on 2024 www.the-buyer.net/people/suppl...

Happy birthday to this absolute Queen. The beating heart of the family and work Mum to all of the BinTwo crew and ARC Angels.

Mary always puts others first, takes on more than she should, endures life with me with a tolerant smile and somehow continues to age in reverse.

Absolute superstar. ❤️

Took the boys go-karting for Tom’s 11th birthday.

Absolutely slayed them both on the track.

The proper order is restored.
What’s the best wine to pair with the awful realisation that your 16 year old son is now taller than you?

Asking for a friend.

Superb blow by blow account of today’s important debate in Parliament.

If only they could all be like this…
I'm going to do some coverage on here of the assisted dying debate. If you're not interested please mute this thread now. It'll probably go on a while.

Absurd. Clearly the right answer is Die Hard.

Around this message we can unite.
I think I might have more respect for Starmer not having a favourite Christmas movie than I do for those who chose Elf as theirs.

A lifetime ago before I started playing with grape juice I was a soldier.

I’m at a 30th reunion… THIRTIETH FRICKING REUNION of my old Sandhurst class.

There were loads of old photos of us doing heroic stuff and we looked SO young.

And here we are still up at 3am #legends

Right… so where are all the arguments over arcane technicalities of the wine world happening then? Someone point me towards the entertaining dust ups. 😃
