I assume "mid-July" will be the weekend after the summer tournaments wrap up in even years and a week earlier in odd years (July 17th, 2027 and July 22nd, 2028). Regardless, a good change, even if its hot as hell in July and August still.
BREAKING: MLS owners have voted and passed a schedule change. The league will run from the late summer months through May.

This is due to start in summer of 2027. MLS will take winter break in Jan/Feb

Takes a lot of gall to suggest emails the NYT had in their possession from Epstein about Trump in Dec 2015 were not "news" considering that:

1) Trump was a candidate in the GOP primary, and
2) Epstein was convicted of solicitation of a minor for prostitution in 2008, and
3) NYTs coverage of HRC

Would love to see Nancy manage in Europe as much as it would pain me for him to leave the Crew.

Using "battling against relegation" to describe Frank's tenure thus far is violence against a certain segment of Spurs fans.

I'm bored so here is what a 2027/28 MLS schedule could look like! Obviously I am not taking into account League or CONCACAF Cups for the midweek matches, but did utilize the FIFA calendar and assumed (hoped?) that the AFL finals style qualifying rounds would be implemented (with a 2-legged SF).

All of these changes sound great. Early August through mid-December, mid-February with playoffs ending in late May would be excellent. 5 divisions of 6 teams playing every team at least once a season is also great. Proposed playoff changes also far better to a what they have now.

Please do it MLS!
Sources: MLS owners are expected to vote on flipping to fall-spring calendar at Thursday's BOG meeting. Could happen as soon as 2027.

Also: Changes to competition format expected too, including single league table + divisions.

That would have been a goal if Robertson wasn’t trying to the impede the keeper.

The Premier League is now 5 seconds of open play then 30 seconds of prepping for a set piece.

We can fix this with rule changes:
- Teams only get four set pieces per possession
- If the set pieces are bad, the other team gets the ball
- If they're good, they get four more
- Let's call them "downs"

I think Spurs should also do this to prevent Spurs from taking long throws because they are boring.

Absolutely unreal catch by 80 for Indiana.

Thought the Penn State TE was unaccounted for, but a good tackle by the Indiana LB.

Oh did something happen in the game I haven’t been watching?
November 8, 2025 at 7:36 PM
I think I am dumb enough to believe that Spurs are just a passing 6/8 and backup LB/LCB away from being good once we get everyone back from injury.

I really hate myself, but honestly, if we had something resembling a logical squad construction we'd easily be in for 5th.
November 8, 2025 at 4:31 PM
Tel's ball-striking technique is truly world class. Very pure contact and he gets so much power from a quick motion.
November 8, 2025 at 4:21 PM
If you want to tell me that the squad injuries/construction is a bigger issue than the manager, yes, obviously! It's been the case for a while now.

I've been a bit reactive with Frank admittedly because it's been boring, but look at what he's been dealing with! He deserves the season regardless.
I don’t know if Frank is the guy or not but if you think this has no bearing on our form/selection in addition to playing two games a week I don’t know what to tell you. Esp if you are convinced the only reason we finished 17th last year were injuries/recruitment.
November 8, 2025 at 4:00 PM
Watching the second half back, encouraging that Frank made changes that led to a dramatically better performance after the break, but something you'd really need to have over the full 90 to feel great about.

Odobert and Udogie down the left is very encouraging. Xavi growing into the league more.

Spurs are on pace for 62 points while having a worse xGD/90 than last season when we got 38 points.
