MT Greene may be showing herself to be a better political strategist than I had given her credit for. She seems to be creating a space for herself for the post-Trump era. Supportive of Trump but independent.

Regarding the Democratic “cave” on the shutdown, the chief problem I have with the criticism about Schumer is the assumption that he “controls” the Senate Dems. He does not. The Minority Leader has only a little power within his/her caucus and virtually no power in the Senate itself.
