Spain, Spanish history (particularly the Civil War). UPenn, Michigan, ICADE: econ., IR, law.

Sergei Eisenstein and motorcycles.

Jack (Handey) of all trades, master of none.
Pinned
Ciudad Universitaria now and during the war.
Met a girl on study abroad in undergrad –I had always planned on law school, but EU rules on non-EU candidates also made a law degree far easier to justify my candidacy for EU jobs than my Econ and IR degrees.

20 years later and three kids with her.
What’s the lore behind choosing your career path ?

Trump’s knack for these types of disarming comments is really something. I wish his parents would have hugged and supported him, because I would have loved to see a non-fully-transactional Trump.

The system to take care of veterans isn't broken: it's nonexistent. A single day goes by where U. S. veterans cannot receive care should be an impeachable offense for every single sitting politician, but of course keeping trans kids from playing high school baseball is the order of the day. Shameful

Three big themes (among many) that come up in press and propaganda on both sides of the Spanish civil war.

The role of women, the importance of exercise and sports, and theater.

Someone made a bad decision and his day, and life are over.

Someone made a bad decision and we lament a traffic jam, until we see him under the sheet on the shoulder and we’re ashamed we cared about the inconvenience.

Someone made a bad decision and a mother doesn’t yet know that it’s the worst

I had a dream @pattonoswalt.bsky.social was a dad at my kids’ school and I was talking to him about school things. Then he took my hand and we went skipping outside.

Jack Handey called Patton, who informed Jack that Patton and I were “taking giggles by the sea.”

A new inside joke for me and me.
