The craziest part of supreme court jurisprudence is that when they overturn this we are supposed to believe that six people who have been lawyers and judges at the highest level for a combined 300 years have never really thought about the 14th amendment. Hadn't had a chance to glance at it til now!

I had the exact opposite of this happen to me in college when my roommate was dating a girl from Dubai who kept saying that things like jazz and BBQ were "white people stuff"

It's pretty clear that the student thought they could write a direct attack on their trans instructor and bait her into saying something that she could take to the admin and then when the instructor instead provided a thoughtful respectful response the student decided to just roll with it anyways

Up here in Maine there are a ton of diners that are cash only almost explicitly so the owners can embezzle and we all like it that way

I don't think people are upset because they think it's bad midterm strategy, I think they're upset because it's an example of the Dem establishment's ineffectual middling stance on Trump that totally avoids confronting the billionaire cabal at the center of his power
