The Nord Aviation N.500, also known as the “Cadet” by staff at the Brétigny flight test center, was a French experimental VTOL aircraft from the 1960s.
It made several flights, during which it was held in place by cables, as well as a free flight in 1969. The program was abandoned in 1971.

I like them in 3D, but they lack the kinda silly, satirical tone I was going for. Our original idea was for a more overtly goofy, friendly jab at hard-scifi and alt-history trends, iunno if that'd resonate with players, or retain our own interest either.
