That makes sense. I figure that JAG goes into the nuances and finer details of it all, but it makes sense that part of the bargain of enlisting to follow orders is that you get to know the boundaries fairly well of what those orders can be and where authority over you comes from.

I’m not enlisted or military in any way, but I would hope that some aspects of military training include some basis of what qualifies as legal/illegal orders. They’re taught chain of command and all those nuances, so seems like it’d come up
