I've been kind of out of it for a bit, and I realized I didn't mention why on this platform. Dee passed away a few weeks ago. She's no longer in pain, and that is a relief. The house feels very empty, though.

I just picked up California strawberries at Harris Teeter, which was a little surprising. The last ones I got there were from NC, and were flavorless. This is my second box from Cali, and both boxes were delicious.

A lady driving by said she's seen me walking Dee for years, and she wanted to congratulate me on my weight loss. I don't see it day-to-day - I just know I've gone through a lot of sizes of clothes! Today I decided to search up old pics. They say always take pics. They're right.

I have discovered a stash of "vintage" Old Navy tee shirts, and by vintage I mean from back when they used that really nice heavy cotton jersey. I think we're talking late 90s-early 00s. The pair of Old Navy chinos I found with an absurdly low rise would seem to confirm the timeline.

I just discovered that one of my favorite Chinese actors also happens to sing my absolute favorite Cdrama OST, and I am now in a thorough swoon. And there are playlists on Spotify. How did I not know that Liu Yuning can SING???

I broke out my (now incredibly limited) Arabic for the first time in almost 20 years yesterday. My tax preparer is Arab-American, so I remembered enough to say thank you (شكرًا ) - she was shocked! Sadly, it did nothing to reduce the taxes I owe, but it was fun.

I will never quite understand how my brain works. Today is a rest day, with no chores on my internal list, so I have been busting ass cleaning for a couple of hours. On days when I have chore/s, I tend to procrastinate in any way possible.
