Last Thursday I fell, badly. My son is in Egypt. It actually passed through my brain that Jessie will be ok because she'll eat me until he gets back, whilst I was lying on the floor!

I have sheep farmer friend who absolutely cannot eat lamb..he says the smell of it roasting is exactly the same as the smell in the lambing shed when he's bringing them into the world.

We haven't had turkey since my OH died in 2014, he was the only one who liked it...we used to have it alternate years to keep him happy.

Growing up in rural Devon I could kill and pluck a chicken by age 10. But I hated the gutting...even after working as a vet's assistant I'm still not happy with the feel of warm innards 🤢

My fire IS my heating... very old fashioned system where the fire + heat pump runs the radiators.
As I was the only one here I've been using an electric fan to heat the room I'm in.
Son comes home from Egypt tomorrow so I thought I'd better take the chill out of his room....

I used to moonlight as a turkey plucker...we started mid November on the vast majority that were destined to be sold as frozen turkey!
