SUVs are uneccessary in urban areas
A majority of UK car owners (59%) also agree that SUVs are not necessary in towns and cities, compared to just 20% that disagree.
This is despite research showing that three quarters of SUVs sold in UK are registered to people living in towns and cities 🙃

Doubly ridiculous! How come we ended up allowing all these customised/ deliberately unclear reg plates? It would seem simple & obvious to have a single standard for font, colour etc. and licensed producers.

I think intermittent & unclear kerbs are a menace, but I'm watching what's being built there. Quite a deep trench by the park yesterday. More detailed plans than at the link were published. Can't remember the intended width. www.brighton-hove.gov.uk/onejourneybe...

Madeira Drive along the seafront (NCN2) is also green (though now a bit messy with car tyre tracks etc.) It might be a new standard. Previously we had red or black.
