I’m so happy to say that after being in our rescue for 11 months, both being adopted then returned when their first homes weren’t the right fit, then bonding strongly with each other here in Casa Crits, Satsuma and Chicory are being adopted together at last!! They’ll be going on a huge adventure!

—neonatal kitten need to be on a heat source & kept warm at all times, they cannot regulate their body temperature and you can kill them by feeding a cold kitten.
—NEVER feed a bottle baby kitten COW’S MILK!

I just want to shout out the incredible work that @fluffandwobbles.bsky.social is doing. Two months ago, this cat looked like this. A rack of bones, full of snot and parasites and babies. Spot & her kittens were a tough case, even needing their foster mom to learn tube feeding, but look at them now!

Violet was adopted today!! 🎉🥳👏
I am so sad we still haven’t had anyone step up for Violet. We thought we had a home for her, but they fell in love at first sight with another great cat from our partner rescue, so she continues to languish. She is playful, funny, affectionate, the total package, she just needs to be the only cat.

Today, Scooter graduates from C4C to his own forever home. He was brave through airport security & is doing his best not to yell the whole time. He had a visit last night from Mary, who originally found him in a dirty alley in Galveston & brought him to MD, saving his life. His next chapter begins!
