I feel like a these cats have been completely written off. They are shy with new people & scared in new places, like any cat would be that’s lived in one house for 6 months. We tried to send them to a bigger rescue to find them homes and they were rejected for being too fearful.
It’s hard to believe but the Auto Club family— mama Porsche & her now 7-month old kittens Ferrari, Mercedes, and Bentley— have had no applications. Not one for any of them. The new Shakespearean girls are de-spicing nicely. We’ve already got purrs from Juliet and Beatrice. Ophelia isn’t quite purring, but she is relaxing sweetly into scritches.

Let this be your sign to buy a cheap leash and just keep it in your car. This sweet girl ran up the on ramp onto a major highway. She wasn’t letting anyone get near her but thanks to a bunch of kind people who stopped, we were able to corral her and get my leash looped around her neck (no collar.)

This sweet girl is Shoyu. Shoyu came to us a full YEAR ago, found outside with her two kittens. She’d clearly never been around people before and was completely terrified, but not aggressive. The area she was found in was unsafe to return to for TNR so we decided to give socialization a try. 🧵

—neonatal kitten need to be on a heat source & kept warm at all times, they cannot regulate their body temperature and you can kill them by feeding a cold kitten.
—NEVER feed a bottle baby kitten COW’S MILK!

The other day, our rescue’s only car died. Because it also doubled as my personal vehicle, I struggled with the decision to ask for donations to replace it. But the fact is we need a car to function. No rescues, vet appointments, adoptions, NOTHING can happen without a car.
