Every year this goes around, every year I share the sentiment. There are far better shelters to give your help to. They made my mother, my infant brother and my toddler brother sleep OUTSIDE on stairs in the winter, wouldn't even let her sleep in a corner inside despite there being snow out.
I know it's a tad early but I know those bitches with the buckets will be out soon. Don't gove them a penny. The volunteers may not know but the salvation army is no ally and actively combative and harmful to many queer minorities especially during the holiday season

An oil still life experimenting with brighter colour. All of these objects came from charity shops along the street near where I live, including the tie-dye cloth. The jug seems to be from the '20s (a survivor). The painting is still in the studio hanging on the wall.

This is fucking dark. Eric and I were literally having a conversation earlier about making holograms and AI out of dead people for movies and how people need to learn to let go and move on, and now I see this. This is NOT okay. It is not healthy, for humans nor the planet. I hate it here.

I recently read somewhere "Don't torture yourself with your thoughts, it's a horrible way to live." and I think that really resonated with me as somebody who gets trapped in anxious thought spirals. I am learning to be kinder to myself, it takes practice. Maybe you could also use a reminder ❤️
