Spinnig now, Pergolesi's 'Stabat Mater,' with the incomparable Emma Kirkby, James Bowman, Academy of Ancient Music, led by Christopher Hogwood. There are many recordings of this work, among them one with Sandrine Piau and Christopher Lowrey, with Les Talens Lyriques, led by Christopher Rousset.

Mr. Trump would be comfortable with Attila the Hun and Genghis Khan as his sidekicks.

Spinning now, Murray Perahia's recording of Schubert's sonatas 958, 959, and 960. In a very short period of time, Schubert produced these most remarkable piano works, with D960 being a piece one can listen to hundreds of times and never cease to be shaken to the core.

Spinning now, Elisabeth Leonskaja, The Complete Mozart Piano Sonatas. Stunning. 6 CDs. Another rarely heard artist on the American airwaves.

I went nuts looking for that Horowitz/lGuilini Mozart recording you showed a little earlier. Do I have too many CDs? Maybe. I did finally find it, placed in a different area of the collection. Spinning now, Die Zauberflöte, Karl Böhm, from 1964.

@celesteheadlee.bsky.social Please forgive the intrusion, but I was just thrilled to see your post. By the way, the recording of the Afro-American Symphony which I consider the best is on Bridge Records in 1999, recorded in 1965, and beautifully remastered. Royal Philharmonic, Karl Kruger.

Just now listening to the phenomenal Marc Minkowski's recording of Handel's 'Dixit Dominus' and other works, with a splendid cast, and Les Musiciens du Louvre. With Magdalena Kožená and Annick Massis.

Our Christmas cactus in bloom now. It blooms twice a year.

Just now listening again to my collection of Claudio Arrau. I'm beginning to think he was superior to just about any other pianist in the modern era.

Listening now to the rather neglected these days, splendid playing of Annie Fischer, on the 9-volume collection of the complete Beethoven piano sonatas. Recorded with the great label Hungaroton.

Just found this at my local library sale, 1 dollar. Great recording, fine performance. I don't think we hear much of Kovacevich on the classical stations here.

Is this the beginning of the 'Reign of Terror' in the US? He won't go quietly, that's for sure.

Mr. Trump should be impeached. He is a clear and present danger to our democracy. Our representatives need to step up before we lose everything.

Wells, Maine. Very large demonstration in Wells, the largest I've ever seen. Perhaps as many as 10 thousand people lined both sides of the street in front of the high school.
