I can’t sleep. My heart is heavy tonight. We had to say goodbye unexpectedly to our little Soji cat. She was only 5, tonight she suffered a massive stroke and lost use of her back legs. I’m devastated. She was my little work companion and always sat in on my zoom calls. We will miss you Soji 😭

This is the most relevant article to NIH and research cuts I’ve seen.

Imagine if this was today , how many people would be saying “Why are we studying Gila Monsters and their impact on diabetes ? That’s wasted money !”

Keeping my son alive in school isn’t a part time job. Supporting ABs most vulnerable kids is not just some part time random job period.

The UCP have been crude in how they handle this all since Fort Mac supports went on strike and while I don’t normally condone getting into the mud maybe it’s time.
I was asked why the UCP are referring to EAs as “part-time” when they work the full school year & 35 hrs/week.

My response? Because they’re a-holes.

Crude, yes. But they’re trying to make vastly underpaid Albertans struggling to make ends meet the enemy.

And they just gave themselves a raise.😡

So correct me if I’m wrong @demetriosnAB but if you’re doing all this testing on kids because they are struggling and you want to figure out why…. Wouldn’t the other step be putting supports in place like I dunno properly trained and paid for EAs, nurses, SLPs, OTs etc? #abed 1/

I had some motivation today to fold/hang put away my laundry, then I pulled a muscle in my lower back carrying it upstairs. F*** laundry! Laundry can go to h-e-double-hockey-sticks!
