Support local products, but more importantly, support local labour. The workers are us, not the capital.
We thank everyone for supporting the boycott of American products. But please buy Lays chips. There are 1200 union members with the Steelworkers at the plant in Cambridge and they need your support.
Boycott American plants but support the jobs here in Canada.

In 1890, the Tariff Act came into place in the United States. It placed tariffs on imports of up to 50%.
While touted as a way to build American industry, there was also the hope it would force an annexation of Canada. It backfired.
Let's learn more.

~Stay home and put your money in the pockets of Canadians!
Hannah Arendt says the most evil thing about fascism weren't the atrocities but the willingness of people to go along.
Trump has cut funds to the most desperately poor.
He threatens Canada.
But he can't tell you where to spend your money.
His economy needs our tourism $$.
You know what to do.

My Mom is a miner's daughter. Her whole family fought Nazis.
She was walking through the snow with her walker when a woman asked her,"Will we survive Trump?"
"Of course we will," Mom replied. "I don't need asparagus. I'll eat root vegetables. We've done it before."
That's Canada.

When Americans (God bless ‘em) say “Sorry about Trump” this is a perfect response:
Then show it

-buy Canadian
-contact your reps to express your support for Canada
-fly Canadian flag
-post support for Canada on your socials, among personal networks
-protest LOUDLY
-visit Canada and spend money
-impeach the motherf@cker and shut down the government

Sorry is in the showing.

In case you're not a Canuck, there's a huge movement here right now to make the effort not to buy American. Home Hardware, not Home Depot. Cdn Superstore, not Walmart. French's ketchup, not Heinz. People are putting up websites with alternatives to everything from clothes to groceries to appliances.
