Working at a University right now is a ticking time bomb and not for the weak. Between the cancelled grants and soon to be terminations - the stress levels are so high my eyeballs are constantly red. That's normal yeah?

Watched a really fun and heartwarming movie last night called Molli and Max in the Future with Zosia Mamet and Aristotle Athari (SNL alum!) that was a futuristic version of When Harry Met Sally and I cannot stop thinking about it. It was clearly made with love, and I can't recommend it enough!

Anyone else in the Beyhive presale finding tickets for anything less than $1,000 a piece?! Looking at Atlanta right now, and will look at LA when it goes on sale. This pricing structure is insane and makes me not want to go at all.

As someone who works in a College of Science - I am terrified for our faculty and employees at the moment. NIH was big, this is even bigger and more far reaching.
The National Science Foundation cancelled over 60 grant review panels today, effectively grinding funding of new projects to a halt.
The so-far indefinite pause comes as NSF grapples with the impact Trump's executive orders will have on their grantmaking process.

Feel compelled to talk about Ben Stiller’s “Nutcrackers” because I went into it thinking it was going to be a lighthearted Christmas flick and ended up bawling like a baby. It is SO good and I can’t recommend it enough. So heartwarming.
