My beloved is dying of ovarian cancer that comes back stronger after each round of chemo.
We walk here most every night. It’s on train tracks so we don’t see many others. There’s a pond behind us with osprey. She knows their names.
When it all comes to pass, this will be my solace.

Opened one, Mr Bou's Ornithographies book.
I don't exaggerate, I gasped audibly turning the pages. I shoot 5x7 film, abstracts. I think birds are like fish in thin water, following its currents. This book gets it. My wife perfectly got me. Tears flow.
