After taking several readings, I’m surprised to find my mind still fairly sound.
I’ve never seen a new sport I would want to try less than Ski Mountaineering.

“Why are we so good at what is so hard to do?” he said, rhetorically. “Whenever the playing field is even, the rules are public, and the goals are clear, we do well.”

Damn.
Jesse Jackson died Tuesday at the age of 84. The civil rights icon always held America to account—and never stopped fighting to preserve what he knew could be taken away. I wrote about how he saw our future so well.

A lot of people would benefit from a To Kill A Mockingbird rewatch.

Pretty cool movie about staging a coup. Think Commando if it were made by serious people. Walken and Berenger throwing strong fits throughout.

one of my strongest beliefs is that we're in our situation right now bc some of the most prominent talking heads (e.g. joe rogan, andrew schulz) are learning about politics in their 40s and 50s, instead of their teens and early 20s, and we have to go along for the ride as they learn basic things

Our DVR was just inadvertently deleted while sitting at 3% available with 10 years of @tcmtv.bsky.social movies and I feel like I’m going through an existential crisis. I’ll be fine, but I had to take a moment to myself. Hug your physical media.

Scheduling strikes on a payday Friday when (at least) 60% of the population is living paycheck to paycheck could be better thought out. I’ve been striking for the better part of a week.
