I'm going to not address the obvious thing here.
I had a pierced ear from age 16 to about 22. One day, I removed my earring to clean it, and couldn't get it back in. Less than two weeks later, the hole had closed shut.
Not to discredit this guy's theory, but some people do have healing powers.
