Writing is on the wall for the midterms next year. It fills me with hope that there is light at the end of this tunnel.

Going into the new Superman film I was completely disinterested and prepared for an absolute mess of a film.
Coming out of the film I had done a complete 180.
Gunn's biggest challenge was breaking the mould of the legacy DC film aesthetic. It was hopeful, loving and humorous. And it simply worked.

Just walked out of 28 Years Later (which was excellent by the way) and the first comment overheard from an audience member as I was walking out:
"that zombie had a bigger dick than Rob's dad"

It has sent me down a rabbit hole of revisiting my old projects - many of which never saw the light of day
