Yes, I am connecting the current Shedeur Sanders chatter to my personal gripe that the NFL Draft is bad. But, you should treat yourself to understanding just how long the draft has been bad, with my lede, courtesy of Red Smith writing in 1975:

Grayson Rodriguez was the last top draft pick of the previous front office, but his lack of development (which, yes, really did get dinged by several injuries) all happened under the Mike Elias regime. But overall, this has to be seen as a massive failure by Orioles.
