Why would you want to be a proud Dem? Your leaders will tell you the best way to win is by losing, that you’re a naive fool if you want them to stand up for anything, and they’ll brag to each other and the press about how they’re smart enough to ignore you.

A lot of people have observed that the Democrats’ deep unpopularity comes from the fact that absolutely everyone wants to complain about them and nobody wants to defend them.
This is true, but a lot of THAT dynamic comes from the fact that Dems are regularly punching their supporters in the face!
