Elon Musk is the new Steve Bannon, a Trumpite who dreams of fomenting a populist uprising in Europe. Unlike Bannon, he has the money and reach to make a difference. And I don't think Bannon went so far as to back the AfD, which is a far nuttier outfit than, say, Giorgia Meloni's lot.
